FCC Threatens Convicted Killer's Amateur License on "Character Qualifications"
http://www.arrl.org/news/stories/2003/11/26/101/?nc=1
Da, ta dah da. The FCC to the rescue. Of a man convicted of murdering his wife in 1996, it appears that the FCC is concerned about whether Mr. Scaggs possesses the requisite character qualifications and if he is to remain a Commission licensee, all the while ignoring the weekly and blatant jamming of the Liberty Net by an ignoramus or ignorami. How brave the FCC be, fighting to extinguish the license of a man doomed to be removed from Amateur Radio for up to 32 years (less, with good behavior). HEY FCC, why don't you do something of substance (I know, it's difficult to actually get off your derrieres for something other than pencil pushing), and FIND and PROSECUTE the Liberty Net Jammer, as he is engaging in INTENTIONAL INTEFERENCE of Amateur radio. What's that FCC, speak up? Oh, I see, you approve of the jammer, as he attempts to squelch the 1st Amendment Rights of fellow Americans. What's that? Oh, the Founding Fathers only meant for the 1st Amendment to guarantee the rights of people of liberal persuasion to promulgate Iconoclastic beliefs? You mean like predatory gays, atheists, and the ACLU to name a few. What's that? I see, the more profligate the cause, the more likely that the government will uphold the rights of people to disseminate it. But the more traditional the cause, such as the Celebration of Christmas, Easter, etc., these are the true threats to America. I see FCC, in our hypothetical discussion you have revealed much. The government is not concerned about the right of the people to engage in political discourse if the conversation goes against what the government wants us to believe, and the FCC is willing to acquiesce to the illegal practices of individuals that blatantly violate the rules of Amateur Radio. But you are going to strip a prisoner of his license because of his "poor character". You guys are the real characters. Dr. Atraud -- To know and to be, this is not even a question, there is no alternative. You see it clearly in the loneliest little avenues between particles and waves, shunned even by the gregarious quark and unknown by the various strands of time, so big it cannot be seen, yet so little it is immovable, lies the fabric of the ultimate reality gripped in the tiny fist of the all or nothing." |

"Doctor Artaud" grabbed three chimpanzees and had them type out a tome in message ... You are somewhat confused my dear friend. The Liberty Net is already populated by saidsame "ignoramus (and/or) ignorami". Oh, I see, you approve of the jammer, as he attempts to squelch the 1st Amendment Rights of fellow Americans. The First Amendment is alive an well thank you. It still provides the vehicle for those who proclaim thoughtful discourse in an intellectual setting, and demented diatribes for those who make assholes of themselves on weekend ham radio nets whilst providing welcome comic relief for the rest of us SWL's... (not quite as amusing as such stellar kooks like James Lloyd or Alex Jones but still amusing nonetheless) To know and to be, this is not even a question, there is no alternative. You see it clearly in the loneliest little avenues between particles and waves, shunned even by the gregarious quark and unknown by the various strands of time, so big it cannot be seen, yet so little it is immovable, lies the fabric of the ultimate reality gripped in the tiny fist of the all or nothing." The only thing that's getting "...gripped in the tiny fist" on a regular basis is your excuse for a pecker. |
