According to the 2004 Passport to World Band Radio...

"The ICF-SW07 is no longer listed on the Sony of America's website nor
that of Sony Canada or Sony Deutschland. However, U.S. radio dealers
report that they continue to obtain stock on a regular basis. This
model is listed as Sony's "Flagship World Band Receiver" on the
website of Sony United Kingdom.

If you try to buy the SW07 now on Amazon, its no longer at that low price.
Now back to $399.88. I wonder if that was a screw up? Congrats to anyone
that got it for that price (149.88). On a whim, I had one in my shopping
cart at the low price from earlier in the day, but it wouldn't let me buy it
at that price now.

I can't be sure, but I don't think that it was a screw-up. The
$149.88 price appeared to be offered -directly- by Amazon and had a
little "hot deal" tag on the page, indicating to me that it wasn't in
error. If you look now, the radio being offered on the site is
through an Amazon "partner" (J & R in NYC) at J & R's price. I think
it's pretty possible that Amazon sold all of "their" radios--or as
many as they intended to--and is now just "partnering" with J & R,
which they do on some electronics.
