Hey, there's a town in Spain that throws a live goat out of the church
belfry once every year. No, the goat does not live to tell the tale.
That is, until a few years ago, when Spanish animal rights groups forced
them to lower it down with a rope. The goat throw started 150 years or
so ago when, during a famine, the town priest locked the last goat in
town in the belfry to prevent it from being eaten. The outraged citizens
stormed the church and tossed out the goat.
