Default I think I got it. Roberts R9940.

I think I may have discovered the radio that will do the job. (Maybe)

http://www.robertsradio.co.uk/r9940_page.htm

The Roberts R9940 is good because it's a must for me that:

1 It's not more than 180mm (7") wide.

2 It has LW, MW, FM.

3 It is PLL digital.

4 It has RDS.

5 It looks good.

6 Price, not bad at about £60. I don't want to spend more than about
£70.

The only possible reasons why I would not buy this radio is because:

There is a similar radio with same performance that has SW as well. So, why
not get SW as well.

The FM performance is "naff". That is, it receives images and front end is
prone to overload.

The only other radio I have seen is the ICFM33RDS, but I've heard it's a bit
naff on FM.

http://www.thehifistore.co.uk/eshop/.../ICFM33RDS.htm

You can get this at about £35.

I would expect the Roberts to NOT have naff FM performance that the
ICFM33RDS has. It's nearly twice as expensive!!.

Anyone own a Roberts R9940. Is it a good performer? Does it also have naff
FM performance? If so, that will put me off it.

Please feel to interject and say you know of a better radio than the R9940
given the six points above. That might be difficult I think.

Rich.
