says... who can post a list of good shortwave frequencies from worldradio stations, like deutsche welle on 6075 Khz... I noticed that two reference works are missing from this discussion, so here goes: 1) Monitoring Times (monthly magazine, www.monitoringtimes.com) -- each month they publish about 20 pages of information about who is broadcasting on what frequencies throughout the day; and 2) Passport to World Band Radio (book, published annually, www.passband.com) -- contains detailed information about each broadcaster, including web, mailing and email addresses (useful for QSLing), plus the "Blue Pages" in the back, organized by frequency and time of day, so you can look up the frequency and then see who's using that frequency at that particular time. These two are THE most essential tools in my shack for shortwave listening. -- -- //Steve// Steve Silverwood, KB6OJS Fountain Valley, CA Email: |
