Default "Hot jazz" on 3295??

Station (very weak) I cannot ID on 3295 kHz at 0305. Playing uptempo
jazz right now. It's so rare to get anything here, and I can find no
reference *anywhere* to a station using this frequency - pirate?

Possibly Guyana? They operate around 3292v. Also known to relay the VOA and BBC.

Try and pick them up again, and zero beat the frequency, if you haven't already.

Tried that, Steve The station was so weak it was undetectable in either
USB or LSB - only very faintly in AM, though I'd lose it if I varied
even a coule of tenths of a kilohertz either way. Guess I'll have to
wonder about that one for awhile.

I guess my question at this point is: What radio are you using? If you are able to pick
up something in AM mode, you 'should' be able to use USB or LSB to zero beat the carrier
of the station, even in situations where you were not able to get any audio from the
signal.

I get Guayana on that frequency here. They always play a little jazz.

Sorry, I misunderstood you - yes, I did zero the carrier wave. I'm
using the Icom R-75. Only with *extremely* weak stations do I get no
audio in USB or LSB - more often than not, that is how I fine-tune every
station. Faint as it was, it was 3295 on the button based on zeroing
the carrier (also very weak) and the reception in AM mode.

Thanks, Marty - sounds like the most likely answer - Steve also
suspected Guayana.
