When driving to work one morning, there was a big BZZZZZT of 60 cycle on the channel and they were down for two hours for repair. -- Gregg *It's probably useful, even if it can't be SPICE'd* http://geek.scorpiorising.ca |

It used to be a 50,000W station, but in August of 2002, it's output power dropped to 35,000W 'round the clock. Still, I feel it should come in stronger than it does. It has not dropped power. They have a permit for a 35,000 watt auxiliary transmitter tuned to an auxiliary antenna (shorter) to use in emergencies and when they are doing work on the main tower. The auxiliary tower is not even 1/4 wave, so would, I believe, be non-conforming as a main antenna. |
