What kind of metal tube? The kind with wheels? I also live in a Farady
cage and can't get much of anything off a whip. "WShoots1" wrote in message ... Except on really outstanding days, those antennas are totally inadequate. Heck! Even inside the square metal tube I live in I can get much stuff day and night, using just the telescoping antennas on all my radios, from the DX-392 down. And I live near Galveston Bay in SE Texas. I was beginning to wonder if you lived in one of those magnetic anomolies where signals don't go in or out. Those exist all over the US. Bill, K5BY |
