Question for other DE-1102 owners
Has anyone removed the colorful Chinese sticker from the front of the radio?
Does it leave a sticky mess behind? Does it even come off? |

Has anyone removed the colorful Chinese sticker from the front of the radio?
Does it leave a sticky mess behind? Does it even come off? I have no experience with said Chinese sticker, but for the sticky messes left behind, try a product called "Goo Gone". It has never damaged any surface I've used it one. I've even used it on the shiny covers of paperback books to get price tag sticker goo off. Linda Pennsylvania, USA |

I removed it by taking the shiny backing paper from another sticker, wedging it underneath the edge of the Degen sticker, and continuing to push it inwards until it eased enough of the sticker off the surface to peel away without damage. I then used the backing paper as a keeper for it, should I ever wish to re-attach it (e.g. should I sell it in the future). |

Take a cotton rag and put some rubbing alcohol on it, then use it to
take off the excess glue from the radio. TW |

Actually, getting the sticker off isn't the tough part. It's writing Made in the USA on the back with a small brush that's difficult to do. Maybe we can get some Chinese company to mass-market "Made in the USA"
stickers. I'm sure they would be a lot less expensive than having those stickers made here. |

N8KDV, Actually, on the 'back' of this Sticker are Printed the Words: " Do Not Remove Under Penalty of Law " But, thats OK because it is 'written' in Chinese ) bion ~ RHF = Believe It Or NOT ! :] .. |
