Mr. Jackson is no stranger to radio and television of course.
Not only has he been interviewed numerous times, but he was
also the host of a talk show, "Both Sides With Jesse Jackson,"
for about decade on CNN.
John Hogan, the president and chief executive of Clear Channel
Radio, said the company was attracted by Mr. Jackson's "message,
his prominence, his importance and his ability to relate to people."

"How Come One Company Owns All The Radio Stations?" http://radio.about.com/library/weekly/aa020403a.htm
A Simple Explanation To What Happened To Local Radio Ownership
Clear Channel doesn't own them all (only about 1200 or so). There are
other companies (not as big) which own stations, too, like: Cumulus,
Infinity, Jefferson Pilot, Susquehanna, etc. But, sometimes it FEELS
like "one guy" owns them all.
