I detect... sarcasm. And, as far as I know, it's not Al Franken's network. He's just one of the people who has a show. Janeane Garofalo and Randi Rhodes are but two of the other notables. It's a breath of fresh air, that's for sure. There are too many Rush Limbaughs and Sean Hannity's as it is. Actually, there's one Limbaugh and one Hannity AFAIK--but it's possible the vast right wing conspiracy has cloned them, encased them in pods, and sent them to radio stations around the country. I believe that Chuck D is another one of the "notables" on lib-radio. In fact, they have so many notables they they actually have had to buy stations (or is it buy time on stations?) to get these shows carried. So the analogy to short-wave isn't as far fetched as it seems. Since the left generally doesn't have much use for market forces, it seems kind of appropriate. |

Another fellow I like is Neil Boortz... his program originates from WSB in Atlanta, and he has some syndication across the country. |

He's the only one I heard railing against the misuse of "eminent domain" powers, in which townships force property owners to sell so a structure that generates more tax revenue could be built there. -- Stinger |

Gee, Stinger, I never saw you making this response to Steve Lare when he was running through his Kentucky insults. Consistency, right? BTW, there's no "e" on the end of indict. And that's the best Bryant can do... he has 'some kind of degree' in Communications... |

Gee, Stinger, I never saw you making this response to Steve Lare when he was running through his Kentucky insults. I haven't been reading much of the flame war, but Mike, if I lived in Kentucky, I might well have responded. I live in southern Mississippi (and love it), and don't like it when ignorant jackasses like Les feel the need to put our great state down. Consistency, right? BTW, there's no "e" on the end of indict. Thanks for the correct spelling of indict....and no... I won't go there. -- Stinger |
