I'll agree with you there. It turns out (based on a review of FEC donation
records) that Arthur Liu, who owns the Chicago and LA stations, is a sleazy

In broadcastspeak, Air America is a "clambake."

Poor judgment, coupled with detestably boring programming,
equals failure right out of the gates.

Maybe the current people will figure out what they're trying to do soon.
(doesn't seem likely). Maybe somebody else will get it right. (That's a
possibility).

Too bad, I really looked forward to a diverse viewpoint,
to be educated about what the Democraps stand for, but
all I've heard to date is, "George Bush and his administration
suck, 'n stuff."

Yeah, I think there's a market for Democrat radio if it's done well. But
there must be reason to enjoy being a Democrat, beside hating Republicans.


The interview with the fellow who wrote "Perfectly Legal"
was the sole worthwhile effort to date.

Too bad. I missed it.

It was one of the most infuriating interviews I've heard in my life.
At any rate, I'm reserving the book at the public library in Burnsville.
I'd highly suggest it - the book sounds like a great read!

OK, I don't have any first hand knowledge of the facts. Let's say Liu is a
sleazeball. Why stop his check? Take him to arbitration. Take him to
court. Stay on the air, and fix the problems off the air.

I bought it and read it. I'd say go ahead and spend $26-the book is well
worth it. If I had enough money, I'd hire Jonathon Blattmachr to do my
taxes! :)

Like Dish Network, who abruptly and without warning yanked BOTH Viacom
(including local CBS affiliates) and Turner Broadcasting because they
wouldn't roll over and agree to EchoStar's terms without protesting? It
seems that pulling the plug when the tenant complains is getting common
in broadcasting nowadays.
