: Looks as though Denmark may actually be represented on shortwave again! This is certainly good news for those who have not heard and/or verified Denmark. DENMARK. I check the World Music Radio website periodically, and as of April 11 it has not been updated from the message that they hoped to start broadcasting in March. Obviously the schedule has slipped, as it has time and time again. On April 13, an update was found (Glenn Hauser, DX LISTENING DIGEST) In August 2003 permission to use 5815 and 15810 kHz was granted by the authorities in Denmark.... This is excellent news. I recall a World Music Radio from the Netherlands from the late sixties (associated with R. Nederland? I'm not sure) and have been missing R. Denmark since it went off the air last December. It would be nice to hear something from Denmark again. I just emailed the WMR folks and got a nice note back. They mentioned considerable delays during the past month or so but said they hope to start test transmissions next week on 5815. They promised to send me details of a test schedule and I'll be glad to post it to r.r.s. if/when received. ---- |
