I'm using a DX-398 off the whip and it does a fine job there. But I want to
purchase a portable reel-type(23ft.) antenna, both Radio Shack and Sangean sells it. I had a Yacht Boy 400PE with this type of antenna but didn't see any noticeable improvement in reception. I'd like to get some feedback on the reception differences from the whip to this reel-type using theDX-398, or maybe do a totally different setup that would also be fairly inexpensive and quick. Thanks for any comments and suggestions. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
