Let me tell you, I just upgraded to General, and am now studying for my Extra ticket, and I can't believe I put this off for so long. Getting your Tech should take about two weeks of studying, and so many of the ham clubs in the Twin Cities have classes. I'd definitely encourage you to go for it! I've listened in to the AMSAT net too, some good stuff. I've been studying a bit though I think my "Now Your Talking" book is already out of date in regards to the test pool. I can usually get about 70% in the practice tests without too much trouble. Should I take the test now or wait till the AARL revamps the licensing? |
