"Brian Hill" wrote in message ... I finally saw more pics of this stuff. I had only seen the guy on a box tied to wires before. The rest of the pics look like hazing. Humiliating the prisoners for kicks. Nothing deadly or torturous? Defiantly adolescent behavior. I need more info to determine if this was torture? I checked in at the Drudgereport, and there's a summation of the Army's internal report at the New Yorker website: http://www.newyorker.com/fact/content/?040510fa_fact Frank Dresser |

"Brian Hill" wrote in message ... True. I guess I hate to see their lives ruined over this stupid behavior. There I said it. Brian But it's more than merely stupid behavior. These stories create distrust with America at the worst possible time, and will be used as a recruting and motovational tool by our enemies. Frank Dresser |

Jd I don't disagree with anyone that its wrong and your points are well taken. But if your looking for a way to stop this from ever happening . Well you know. This thing about human rights in war is a funny thing too me. It seems we are always held to some moral standard that our enemies could care less about. I always hear people saying things like " If we treat their prisoners right they will be more compelled to treat ours good. That's bull****! Every enemy we ever faced was ruthless and only cared about wining. Most peoples opinion of war comes from what they see or hear in the news and that's a cleaned up polished version of what it really is. I think if some of you witnessed the real face of war your opinions would change. People just seem so surprised. They would be real surprised if they new all that goes on in war. I don't condone the treatment of these prisoners, they were abused, but far from tortured, however you can bet they would be happy to have the honor of flying aircraft into some more US buildings, killing thousands like 9/11, they would even be happy to fly one into MB's or any other US citizen's house. |

Hopefully, someday, that will happen. Yes, you are certainly a Patriot Act-type of guy. Screw free speech. Support Bush or die seems to be your motto. He may not realise it, but it's folks just like him who pose the greatest threat this country has ever seen. Hey,, you certainly don't realize that fools like yourself are doing more to give the terrorists a victory than you are capable of realizing. Destroying our Constitutional freedoms plays directly into their hands. We are in the midst of fighting what will probably wind up being WWIII and we have treasonous *******s like him still running around. Yes, if we follow the lead of morons, like yourself, we shall certainly end up in WW3. But that's what you really want, right? Wake up America. Yes, wake up and see the neo-cons for exactly what they represent. More fabrications from the Fat Boy! .. No. They are some damn good points you should argue against. But you're too busy discharging. How much do you weigh anyway? |

If I'm getting the dates from the news story correctly, General Karpinski was suspended in January. So none of the prision pictures and stories relate to anything which has happened recently. This is one of those catch 22 issues. On one hand you have to go against this behavior because of the political aspect and on the other it was performed on those that would kill us if they had a chance. I don't condone it either but it doesn't bother me that they were humiliated. I could have turned a blind eye if I was there. I guess it my Viking blood. -- 73 Brian ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A lot of radios and 100' of rusty wire! Brian's Radio Universe http://webpages.charter.net/brianehill/ |

From: helmsman I'm thinking they would kill our people if given the chance. We should have taken NO prisoners in the first place and exterminated there military when we had the chance. Yes, one would expect you to advocate extermination. Won't the archives show that you used to preach that very same advocacy against minorities here in the US? Has the war simply given you some other place to focus your desire for extermination of some category of humans? The future will show that Islam and the rest of the world are not compatable. |
