Hi Michael,

My 2003 Passport shows the 5005 frequency at 40 & 100 kW, but the latest
Domestic Broadcasting Survey (which I trust more) indicates 5 kw, and ex-100
kW. Hmm... interesting that they dropped their transmitter power
dramatically; probably a cost-savings move.

Irregardless of the power, I hear Nepal on 5005 occasionally, although it's
never very strong. I've had English on their frequency in the 1415-1425
timeframe, mid-winters. Best reception of Nepal for me has been on
DXpeditions to the WA coast.

Glenn Hauser mentioned on the lastest World of Radio that... "R. Nepal still
heard, in Sichuan [China], on 5005 with English at 1415-1425".

So they must still be on.
