Curious to see how far some of the local (NYC) 50 kilowatt mw stations can be heard with regularity and/or if they have been heard very far away from time to time... Chicago area here. 660 WFAN 710 WOR Heard it once or twice, but it's right next to powerhouse WGN 720 here. 770 WBC Right next to WBBM. Heard quite nicely recently when WBBM went off for maintenance. 880 WCBS Close to local WLS 890, but WLS has such a crappy antenna ground that WCBS can be heard from time to time. 1010 WINS Too close to 1000 WSCR or whatever it is now. 1050 WEVD Not audible here. 1130 WBBR Nope. 1560 WQEW Seasonal. Used to listen to it regularly when it was a standards station. -- At the end of the new Kerry ad: "I'm John Kerry, and I approved of this ad before I voted against it." |
