Get your **** out of here spammer
WHY did you repost the entire thing? I tend to not see any of the crap most of these idiots are spewing, until someone replies to them, and they usually start the whole thing all over again. So now I should plonk you too, because you can't just use your filters and your common sense and just ignore them. Forget about the idiots, just post about radio and your experiences with it, or questions about it, or whatever... or you've become part of the problem. Linus |

![]() Spoken like a true AOL customer. Here's some info for you, genius. This jackass spamming the newsgroup has used over 10 identities over the last week. You can't kill-filter him the typical way. He changes his e-mail and nickname properties two to three times a day. I haven't seen anything from this turd-burgular for about 12 hours. Hopefully, the inundation of abuse complaints to his ISP has paid off. Knowing my luck, he's probably still on own his kill-filtered identities and trolling about the group. btw, I rightly don't care who you plonk. Have at it! I sometimes forget to remove the spam crap posting on my replies but I'm not perfect at it. Heil AOL! Spoken like a true AOL customer.
Here's some info for you, genius. Heil AOL! Gee, what a nice person. Spends a silly amount of time replying to and reposting (intentional or otherwise) the very crap she complains about, and gets ****y when called on it. And then feels the need to strike back with such soul-shattering insults as 'true AOL customer', 'Heil AOL', etc. Because we all know how insulting AOL makes us AOLers so angry. Calm down for a moment ... my point is this: If you know so much about filtering and multiple IDs and so on, then you've spent a good amount of time online in newsgroups. Which means you also should know better than to reply, repost, and rehash these idiots. It's what they want. My original suggestion still stands... filter it, and if it keeps coming (as it often does) ignore it. You needn't point out to me (since I'm a 'genius', right?) how this 'turd-burglar', as you so maturely put it, has been inundating the group with lots of crap under a dozen names. He's not the first, won't be the last, and you won't be the first or last person who makes things worse by doing what you're doing. But wait, should I cave into my desires to insult Verizon.net users, since it makes me feel better to use innocuous insults in hopes of stinging my "opponent", and thereby make sure my point is taken, since it wouldn't have been taken well if I just said it calmly and without teenage taunts?.... nah. Amazing. GP |

The testosterone level in the postings seems to indicate it's not who or what you think. mike |

AOL is the worse ISP on the planet and its customer base is about the
most computer illiterate in existence. I'm not sure how a reference to verizon.net will improve your situation. plonk |

AOL is the worse ISP on the planet and its customer base is about the
most computer illiterate in existence. I'm not sure how a reference to verizon.net will improve your situation. Hahahaha!... Are you being extraordinarily dense on purpose? Or are you really that thick-headed? You've just done what I knew you would do, and what's even funnier is that you even BOTHERED to post this little nugget of childishness when you were planning to filter me anyway. Remarkable. So, now back to real contributors and radio talk from real radio people: Has anyone (in the Midwest at any rate) been noticing a much weaker signal than usual when trying to listen to AFRTS on their usual nighttime freq's? Nothing else at my station has changed (I'm in SW MO), and I know the patterns can change around this time of year, but I used to be able to listen without employing the pre's or anything else for that matter. The 6350 signal was the strongest, and now it's about half the strength and very noisy (lots of hash). This was occurring from about two weeks ago, so I'm not sure I can blame it on the last four or five days of off-and-on rain, and there has been little electrical activity associated with this rain anyway. Also, because of the poor soil here, when we get a good soaking of rain without lightning or static, my reception tends to get better rather than worse, a lot less noise and better grounding... anyone have any info about AFRTS transmitters being changed or moved, etc? Lindstrom's got crappies and thick ice, so maybe I'll head up there in January for a weekend? Especially if I get a couple of days. 73, -- Steve Lawrence KAØPMD Burnsville, Minnesota "If a man wants his dreams to come true then he must wake up." - Anonymous --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
