Default New source for shortwave for cars?

http://www.motobras.com.br/Automotivos_esp.htm

shows the range of three models (one with cassette)
of a Brazilian company with SW (OC in Spanish).
They speak Brazilian Portuguese, naturellement,
but I give you the Spanish link. There is no English
page.

Any knowledge of their effectiveness?

For those who don't want to bother going to the page here is the nitty
gritty:

Model Tucano V (maybe VI, the webpage has a glitch showing the detailed
specs for the V when you click the VI link...)
AM 525-1630
FM 86.5-109
SW 4.65-5.15, 5.88-630
2 x 5 watts
No mention of step size on any of the bands
Has casette player
Has CD-in

Model Spix VI
same freqs (FM is listed as 87.5-108)
2 x 25 watts
No cassette player
Has CD-in

Model Spix V
No SW

I think you'd be better with a Grundig 4860/4870/4871/5500 from ebay.

Or a Philips DC-777.

Perhaps - but the Grundigs, at least, do not seem to have the 60m
coverage for all of those LA local/regional BCB stations. That may a
selling point right there.
