The best headphones at a good price is definately Japan Radio CO
ST-3... very durable and excellent quality for shortwave where high
fidelity is not necessary.

In fact I don't recommend high-fi headphones for SW... for they are
made for good frequency range and therefore too "wide" for shortwave.
The ST3's are good if you can dish out the $80.. but I am sure you
could find them on EBAY or something cheaper.

I recall for Christmas one year I was given 3 pairs of RadioShack
communication headphones with those thin connector feedlines... all 3
pairs broke down in 4 months.

I said screw it.... time to get good headphones. Picked up the ST3 at
universaleeradio and have had no problems for more than a year now.
