There are many low cost (less than $50) digital readout receivers
now.
It hardly pays to buy an analog model in this price range which will
almost certainly disappoint you.

I will be honest that I was about to say Hammarlund HQ-180A,
until I read the part about "AM/FM/Shortwave freqs".
