The Icom R-2 is a small wideband. It does well on all bands. No DX machine
but it will pick up just about anything out there except SSB, CW, etc. signals. "Richard" wrote in message ... I had the Yupiteru MVT 7100 which is brilliant on VHF, it was OK on SW, but nothing brilliant. Check out http://www.strongsignals.net/index.cgi for review of scanners Richard SO5GB "starman" wrote in message ... I'm thinking about getting a VHF/UHF pocket scanner which also has some HF coverage. I realize these models don't have really good HF reception but I think it would be nice to have that feature just for fun. I'd appreciate hearing from any of you that own one or know something about the various brands/models.
