"dxAce" wrote in message ... What I said about 'ol Vicente is indeed true, he is exporting his problems to the USA. I invite you sir, to prove me wrong on that issue. Emigration is the problem of the Mexican economy. It has been a problem for many decades. As the agrarian policies of the 30's reduce the size of family farms each generation by subdividing already small holdings among children, many rural poor either migrate to big cities or to the US. Mexico City, 6 million in 1060, is now 23 million, with most of the growth due to internal migration from the farms of rural Mexico. This is not Fox's problem, it is a problem of a less wealthy nation on the border of a wealthy one. Illegal immigration is one of the most serious problems we face here in the USA. The problem is one of enforcing our existent laws and controlling our borders. Right now, lax enforcement is like a big "welcome" sign. It is our fault, not that of Mexico. |
