Is it considered cussing if the words don't exist in the country's official language? Under Noble, that would have been forbidden because we followed both country's regulations. Things happen. Wardrobes malfunction. I suspect most stations have had various slips of the tongue the delay didn't catch. At WOR we had a food fair called "The Taste of New York" held at Lincoln Center. We decided to do the Joan Rivers Show live. Various restaurants set up booths with samples and it cost $10 to get in. Joan began the show with a comment about how great it was to get free food. A woman in the audience piped up and said they paid for it. Joan's response: "You paid $10 to eat this sh*t?" It was so close to the open of the show the delay hadn't built up and it went on both WOR and the network. Joan had a chat with management the next day. Fortunately there were so many people there making so much noise, the vendors never heard it. The food was terrific. Rich |
