I used to listen to Radio Conakry way back in the 60's and 70's -- it
was on 9,650 and often came in like a local, and now as shortwave continues its decline it's nice to hear Guinea as a regular once again, although one wonders how long it will continue. As I type this at 0716 UTC they're coming in still quite well on 7.125 as others have noted recently....get this one while you can because I'm certain it will go the way of so many other African stations... |

I sure would like to extract a QSL outta them. I know a few have of late, but it seems to be sporadic at best. dxAce Michigan USA |

Well it's pouring buckets here in the Chicago suburbs as we speak, and I'm nice
and dry with the cans on, enjoying Guinea, Conakry on 7125khz. It's 0740 UTC, and the JRC NRD-535D S-Meter is reading a steady 5dB/S-9, with a clean well modulated signal. I wonder if they would QSL, if I sent them a recording of the program I'm monitoring. Good DXing to you, Gary |
