Thinking of getting myself a Xmas gift, and am looking at getting the
Klingenfuss 2005 Super Frequency List CD-ROM from ARRL.

Anyone have any opinions on it ?
Worth the $ ?

Also, they mention that it is easy/possible to import into sw receiver
control programs, etc.
Anyone ever do this ? (I'm using Mark Fine's SM32 with a JRC NRD 545 now)

Importable into Fine's RLDB (Radio Listeners Database), e.g. ?

The Klingenfuss database cannot be integrated with any other program. Not
only is the database encrypted, it also uses a proprietary Btrieve database,
which does not have freely available ODBC or OLE DB connectors. So even if
you could decrypt the data, which would possibly be illegal under the DCMA,
you'd need to purchase data connectors to get to the data.

The software lets you copy one record at a time into the Windows clipboard.
That's it.

If it is Btrieve you can get the latest Pervasive Btrieve Trial version
at www.pervasive.com. You would need to create the DDF files for ODBC
to read the data. If you need to create the DDF files a tool called
BtSearch32 at www.nssdd.com helps you analyze the data and create the
DDF files.

Dear Bob,

I have no opinion on the Klingenfuss Frequency List, but I use the ILG
Radio database (free) which is very easily incorporated into RxWings, a
(free) computer-control program which will operate an NRD 545.

The B04 schedule has just been posted.

Yes, you could use the trial version to get the data out of Btrieve;
however, the data will still be encrypted.
