Default SONY SW 55 ISSUES----------------------------------

i find (2) endemic problems with the SONY SW55 and wonder if solutions exist:

(1) the tone warbles on SSB (both upper and lower modes) as if the injection
voltage is varying???

(2) The radio will vary its rection mode (SSB vs AM) depending on the
frequency chosen

R there cures for these maladies which r present ib BOTH of my "55s"??

TX:
(1) The SW55 is mainly a program listening radio and only tunes SSB in
large steps. Proper SSB tuning requires finer steps.
(2) The radio is programmed to do this. See page 31 of the manual for
the automatic frequency and filter mode for each band.
