What is the easiest way to quiet a random length indoor-outdoor, vertical-horizontal

TIA

I started out with a DX-398 and by the time the wire had grown to 100'
the noise and overloading were bad. Running the wire through a
grounded ICE 180 transformer greatly reduced the noise and I was able
to add another 20' of wire w/o overloading.
