My wife would like to listen to some radio in French. I have tried some,
like RFI, but have not been able to pick up any stations recently. Does
anybody know of what might be available that I could pick up here in
Minnesota?

Try the SW listings for Canadian broadcast stations, some of which probably
have French-language content. Some of the Canadian Coast Guard radio
stations broadcast all notice to mariners first in English, then French.
Those begin on 2182 khz USB, shifting to either 2749 or 2598 khz. Notice to
mariners bcst usually start between 5-7 min after the top and bottom of the
hour (mandatory quiet/listening periods for 5 min at top and bottom of each
hour).
