WHO does come in ok all day in the Chicago area...........good signal. Since
you are also in the Chicago area, try for WLW, 700kHz; 1520, for some station in southeast Missouri..........I haven't IDed it yet; 524kHz, the Iowa City aero beacon; WKAR, 870kHz, East Lansing Michigan; and finally, WOWO, 1190, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. These are pretty easy to receive, except maybe the 524kHz station. Pete "Sanjaya" wrote in message ink.net... wrote in message ps.com... Hello Friends Having had the S350 for a day or two I have had the chance to do some DX'ing with it. Nice catches I never heard before : WOC 1420 Kc/s Davenport IA CFRW 1290 Kc/s Winnipeg MB WLIK 1420 Kc/s Paducah KY (1KW) I love my BCL2000 (OEM S-350) Try 1040 WHO in Des Moines, Iowa They sent me a QSL card for a written report sent to: WHO Radio 1801 Grand Avenue Des Moines, IA 50309 I'm sure lots of other MW stations still QSL, but WHO was kind enough to respond when I emailed the chief engineer and inquired about sending reception reports. |
