They came on the air about a minute to 03:00. I don't know how long they were missing of course. They are off again at 03:15 UTC. Must be having transmitter problems. The carrier came up and down briefly but no audio. They were missing on 11,820 also until 05:14 and just went off and on again at 05:15 UTC. Will they stay up? Very good signal when they are on. They have been going on and off on 11,820 for a while now. No problems tonight as far as I have heard. Nothing on their web site about transmitter problems. I thought I would dredge this thread back up because New Zealand is missing on 15,720 around 03:15 UTC. I saw and heard the transmitter come back up briefly around 03:20. No audio at that time except for some thumping type noises. They are missing on 11,820 around 06:00 UTC. Looks like they are have more problems. They were on 9,885 with a good signal last night and so far today on 15,720. Nothing about the outage on their web site. Since there is nothing on the RNZ web site I emailed them and got this response. I'm not getting them tonight on 15,720. Maybe they will show up on 11,820 at 04:59 UTC. Dear Sir Thank you for your email. The RNZI transmitter was off air for Maintenance. Adrian Sainsbury Tecnical Manager RNZI Wellington NEW ZEALAND www.rnzi.com Telamon 29-Apr-05 6:11 PM Dear Sirs, I have been looking for your transmission today without success today on 15,720 and now 11,820 in the 03:30 to 06:00 time frame. Radio New Zealand usually puts in a good signal during these times and I suspect that you are off the air. When do you think the problems will be resolved and New Zealand is back on the air?
