This is un-real.

Actually, it's unpleasantly real. This sort of thing has
been happening all the time. The difference here is, Ms.
Schiavo's parents made a media circus out of this instead
of letting it take place quietly in the shadows. As is
what usually happens...

Whoops, I meant to bring this on topic by discussing how
various shortwave broadcasts from overseas are reporting
this.

By and large, I notice that the general feeling among
those who are bothering to report this is "... WTF?!?"
Most countries seem a bit dumbfounded at all the hoopla.

Except for Radio Habana, which is using this as another
example of what's wrong with America...
