I simply responded too hastily without comprehending exactly the time from it refereed to. By the way, unlike the mainland Chinese, the Taiwanese have an affinity towards the Japanese. The fact that matters is that the Chinese Communist Party NEVER occupied Taiwan. The Communist regime defeated Chiang Hai Chek(sp?) on the mainland and was forced to retreat to Taiwan around 1949. History changes nothing in regards to the present day threats from Communist China. Ignoring the present danger changes nothing except who will write the history books. |
