It may be a foolish assumption on my behalf but it seemed to me that
most places have gone to direct deposit. All the banks advertise it and it saves time and money. Who would not want it? Been many years since I have had to deposit a regular paycheck. Social Security along with most pensions and large corporations are converting to direct deposit to cut costs and to try to eliminate lost checks.
