NO sane person would ever subscribe to them pay to listen to satellite
"radios" They are not even real Radios at all.Any brand new two bit
Radio from a Goodwill thrift store is much better than any of them pay
to listen to "radios" They look like something I would expect to see in
the toy bins along with the barbie dolls and other toys.If I ever see
one of those in the Goodwill thrift store (I am going there this
afternoon at about 1:00 PM) I am going to kick it all the way across the
floor.

Cuhulin, you're cramping my style. Jim obviously likes to subscribe

But only things that interest me, and are worth the money. Which
leaves your "newsletter" out in the cold.

Aw come on. It's just "one more subscription"... Remember, TANSTAAFL.

Really? How's the service in your car? Do you have broadband?

It's absolutely fantastic. I just connect my Palm to some amplified
speakers and man it is awesome!

Steve

Wireless Broadband costs way more than $13 a month.

It actually doesn't cost me anything, since my employer pays for it.
But even if it did, it would still be a vastly better value than
satellite radio. Wireless internet is good for all kinds of things,
whether it's email, downloading files, surfing the web, etc. It also
makes available vastly more of *everything* that satellite radio has to
offer.

It's small enough to fit in a pocket. It's also a phone (a Treo) so I
have access to everything I want, no matter where I may be traveling.

Satellite radio is yesteryear's technology.

True. But you can also do a lot more with it. It would be nice if they had
other options other than monthly. Like cell phones, pay as you go with
topoff cards.

Instead of paying $20/month to listen to what *still* equates to radio

Wow - you still buy CDs? How.......quaint.

Jim

Somebody has too thanks to all the internet thieves out there.

Plus, a quick way to start an argument among audiophiles
is to compare mp3's, AAC and satellite radio to CD's in
terms of sonic quality. That's almost as good as the digital
vs. analog arguments they tend to have.
