Oddly enough, expecting such material from Jackie, the most significant issue that I have with her show is the title, "Sweet Liberty" and especially the way that she says it. I have no doubt that most of the "Christian Patriot" hosts would waste no time in violently oppressing all opinions that didn't agree with theirs if they had the chance. It takes about 10 minutes before she goes off the handle concerning Catholics and I change the dial. Previously, I listened for the humor in it, the glorification of Hitler and Mussolini to name a few of her topics. Hitler is always the "misunderstood" man but the Pope is a cold calculating ******* ingeniously engineering the overthrow of the world. If that is not humorous, I don't know what is. Gee, I thought it was the other way around. ![]() Since the Pope has died, one point has been made abundantly clear to me, the supposedly Christian hosts are anything but Christian. You noticed! It also puts into perspective, for me at least, the anti-Semite material that these shows promulgate. Now you know what it feels like to be Jewish. It makes Abe Foxman seem a little more sane, doesn't it? ![]() The hosts hate anyone that isn't in accord with them, and their idea of accord is very narrow indeed. They don't seem to be able to differentiate the "common man" from some of the hierarchical leaders that are problematic in most organizations, including Pat Robertson from the 700 Club. This is not only a problem with kook SW hosts. People in general seem incapable of differentiating leaders from followers, say George W. Bush from Republicans (or Americans) in general. Two points: Many more people have SW radios than have satellite TV. People around the world are able to hear American kook SW, and form their opinions of Americans from hosts like Jackie. To the rest of the world, Americans must seem crazy or evil or both. I wonder how many non Americans listen to American kook SW to hear "the real story" as to how Americans "really" feel. To these people, Americans are the most evil people on the planet, who hate everybody who is even slightly different from them, and who are out to violently subjugate the world. Keep that in mind the next time you hear Arab conspiracy ranting, or thinly veiled America hate from Europe. The FCC really needs to do a better job of policing SW-it truly is global, and the kooks, while funny for Americans to listen to, are doing real damage to America's standing in the world. ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Uncensored-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =---- |

No,y'all do NOT want the fcc to police Shortwave Radio.Consider how fed
govt is continously driving a wedge right through America, creating more and more problems all the time and then stepping in to "solve the problems" Most of the people around the World who listen to Shortwave Radio and read news in their newspapers and on the internet do NOT believe Americans are crazy. They envy America and Americans. www.chuckbaldwinlive.com Chuck's Archived Essays,Speeches and Columns. Patriotism Does Not Mean Love Of Big Government Or Support For A President. I have been getting Chuck Baldwin's email newsletters for over five years. The ONLY U.S.President in my lifetime who was any good was Dwight David Eisenhower.(Ausenhower) He had his problems too,I have known about them since the 1950's.g.w.bush is only a Puppet on a String. He takes orders from Idiots (He is a MORON) whom actually rank higher up than he does.He never listens and takes Advice from folks who have a lot of experience in politics and Military and who have common sense. cuhulin |

I believe that God saw the advent of American Shortwave Radio (this is intended to be humor) ergo the destruction of The Tower of Babel with the ensuing language variants. We are at least protected from the confusion of American shortwave radio in that many people are incapable of understanding it. (I speak English and even I have trouble at times ;-) With the Internet and American web sites, one can go to the many online translation sites that do entire pages. Lunatic web sites also offer individuals the ability to print material that is offered, cementing the lunacy of these sites and American views. Unless one has a tape deck ready, much of the Shortwave lunacy is not reproducible, except from the memories of the listeners. Unfortunately, many of the Shortwave lunatics also have web sites. I do enjoy listening to much of what is said, though I give much of it the same seriousness as I do "Coast to Coast AM" with Art Bell. Even Steve Quayle has had his interesting days. When I first started listening to his show, it was shocking, yet one failed prediction after another has allowed me the ability to use the show as background chatter without taking it seriously. I am especially impressed by Steve's segue from current events to prediction, as if the listening audience won't see the correlation. After the tsunami, Steve predicted more such events and earthquakes, and even occasionally has a guest on his show professing to be an expert in seismology. Fortunately Steve's guest is more objective than he, and often fails to provide predictions suitable for exploitation. Of the BBC, RFPI, and the Radio Netherlands, they always seem to stray into the same old issues, the U.S. is bad, homosexuality, prostitution, the environment, euthanasia from the supportive perspective, and legalized drugs. These are issues that I simply do not wish to hear, as they emulate so many of the mainstream issues. Regards, Dr. Artaud Two points: Many more people have SW radios than have satellite TV. Unless one has a tape deck ready, much of the Shortwave lunacy is not reproducible, except from the memories of the listeners. Unfortunately, many of the Shortwave lunatics also have web sites. And the SW kooks frequently refer to their web sites. On top of that, a casual Google user searching for "religious" websites may inadvertantly stumble across a kook site and if he/she has a SW radio handy be inspired to tune in. After the tsunami, Steve predicted more such events and earthquakes, and even occasionally has a guest on his show professing to be an expert in seismology. Fortunately Steve's guest is more objective than he, and often fails to provide predictions suitable for exploitation. I really don't bother listening to much of the kook broadcasts, as I find many of them to be quite hateful towards practically anybody and everybody, as you've found out. The prediction stuff is occasionally interesting, although regular listening will reveal that they repeat the same stuff, just change dates and locations. This can be quite boring. RFPI is no longer on the air to my knowledge. When they DID exist, they were a direct outgrowth of the 1960s US New Left (hippies) and strongly reflected the preoccupations of baby boomer socialism. Radio Netherlands and the BBC are just reflections of their peoples, who are further left than most Americans. Radio Netherlands has become more of a commentary service than a real news analysis service, and their commentary is pretty far left for most Americans to stomach. The BBC is useful mostly for its news department, which isn't the gold standard it used to be but is still pretty good. The rest of their programming isn't worth listening to for the most part. Radio Havana's news department occasionally drags in blockbuster revelations before the rest of the media either on SW or domestic US gets wind of it. They were the first ones talking about the questionable past of that Negroponte guy, for example. The rest of their news is of entertainment or shock value only. Unlike the kooks, you never know what RHC is gonna say, which keeps it interesting. A couple months back they were insisting that the US Army was going to flatten Ramadi like it did Fallujah-an assault that never materialized. As for the rest of RHC's stuff, save Arnie Coro and Cuban jazz, it's a joke, and not worth it. Regards, Dr. Artaud Two points: Many more people have SW radios than have satellite TV.
