I second that. I'd take my 200,000 mile 1985 Toyota 4x4 truck and put it up
against any Ford POS any day of the week. Toyota made them right (read 22RE motor) and still makes them right. The US makers just can't seem to make their recent (last 30 years) vehicles last. Take a look at your local lemon lots the next time you drive by...you'll see plenty of American "workmanship" but not a great deal of foreign. The foreign rigs are paid for, and still on the road at 200K miles +. "mike maghakian" wrote in message ... I suggest you do some research on toyota and ford. they are not in the same category for customer satisfaction, quality and performance. that is why I haven't owned anything but toyota for over 20 years. every one I have owned has been outstanding. I put over 500,000 miles on them and they ran great. my 93 corolla with 138,000 miles is still running better than most american and some oriental cars are new. only thing I really ever had to replace was the stupid american built starter, none of the japanes parts ever failed. so you see, Ford is not Toyota and will never be. MFJ is not KIWA and never will be. "David" wrote in message ...
