Li,Chanchun wrote: "Al Dykes" wrote How many blue water ships does Russia have these days? I can't believe that added up, all their ships would equal some large joint NATO excercise. What significance does that have to the allied issue? Besides, size (number of ships) isn't everything. Supersonic missles made by Russia, purchased by China, with the ability to peirce the defenses of US aircraft carriers certainly do. I am amazed at all of these military experts or veterans here !!! How many prior US service excepting USAF??? Any one here in charge of a naval squadron or specops detachment? As I thought...arm chair generals with unsubstantiated data and old militart or political paradigms. Well I was there for 26 years, stayed on top of enlisted and officer ranks before retiring, and now working in the Middle East. To be polite, a lot of you are full of ...well. you need to check out facts before quoting so-and-so professing to be experts too. First, what missile is it the Chinese or Russians have that can pierce our carrier defense systems? Please educate me...we can park here in the arm pit of the Carribbean while waging war with the USAF, they never find us as our planes hit their bases or runways at 4:30. So the Russians or Chinese are better, and have better sensor technology??? Excuse me, but you are really full of anti-matter. The only way the Chinese got a step ahead is after Clinton gave them some computer technology, as if a little was not enough to develop their own weapons design labs along our lines with now high-speed machines to perform simulations and studies. Second, the OBL and CIA training scenario...let's give it a break...anyone remember who created Israel? Put it before the UN? Recognized it first? Or had an arms embargo against Israel until 1967 when the Middle East turned towards the USSR? Well, only the last item was the USA...the rest were UK, UK, and the USSR....hmmmm.seems to me that the USA has a beef with the Arab world. And if OBL thought he could push Sadaam out of Kuwait...well, he was smoking that dope the Taliban was selling to the west, especially the USA to raise monies for arms and their little revolution and local horro chamber called Afghanistan. Let's get one thing straight....the liberals are always flapping their gums over who did what first...well too late brain trust...the here and now is the main issue. With our low birth rate, our lack of family, the low interest in bust ass degress as engineering or any other science, we are doing ourself in without the help of any one or foreign politics. Add CEOs raping the USA as well as the world, and I'd say globalization will be the next world war catalyst. Unless we get off of our butts and vote the right people into office (other than history, international affairs, lawyers, or political science majors), put a 2 term limit on our representatives, and force them to leave social security alone, enforce budget discipline, and stop siding with these socialist lobby groups who want everything safe for them and their children at the expense of our individual freedoms (it doesn't take a village, Hillary), America will collapse from her own political follies. Get the guns out of school, beat little Johnny or Sally when they fail, or don't listen, quit using abuse programs as the means to control everything about the American family and way-of-life, and quit giving scholarships for degrees that will contribute nothing to our professional shortages, or country's future. And the big one, get the Americans out to vote (Iraq had a bigger turnout than our last election-how sad; perhaps we deserve their situation more than we deserve America). If any of you boys have a skill worth selling, or can hack a soldier's life, come on over here and see, read, and visit the Middle East for yourself. Cut the suppositions, and wild hypothesises, and most of all, kill this silly wish that everyone in the world is and will be our friend. No one has put a value on an individual's right to freedom as America has, or would fight and die to protect another's right to life. And all of these barbaric acts are perpetrated by who...the Christians...the Buddists...the who ever...cut bait and point the lon end of the Big Stick at the root cause of the world's terrorist woes...Islam......it is true that the culture and peoples are not at fault...but when they have no voice, have nor choise, have no one to tell them about the outside world...all of they have is religious zealots feeding them lies about a better world in the hereafter in exchange for subsidies from ridiculously rich dictators, royal families, and self-proclaimed messengers of the Prophet, peace be upon him. Maybe it is time for thr real believers to act on their talk, and take a stand against world wide oppression...but look into Chad, Sudan, Iraq, .....talk is cheap...and so a minority of Americans must act on behalf of the rest of the cowardly citizens back home, as before and in the future. If you are waiting for the enemy to arrive at your gates, wait no more. So what is the point....the world wants peace....the USA is the bad guy...or is it that we have something that others loathe, despise, or crave. I've been in too many military cemetaries, buried too many buddies to listen and read anymore nonsense from you professed experts. If I had a wish, I'd love to drop you in the alien culture here, and see what your belief system would earn you....try death. SO do you think you could at least get out there and be responsible voters in return for the sacrifice a few brave soldiers are making for you and yours? Probably not...as a fact...once a coward...always a coward...talk the talk, but you can't just walk the talk. I think an India-China axis in reaction to a Muslinist PAK with a nuke bomb is the scariest scenario. We lived for 50 years with 40,000 Russian nukes pointed at us. If we stay smart we can work with them. But they have no interest in working with you. |
