I've been listening at times to WBCQ (7.415) and am curious if this is just a SW station that rents airtime to various people to express their views or just what. From what little I listened this week I heard everything from the coming one world government to Warren Buffet manipulating the stock market. Yes, WBCQ sells cheap airtime. But so do a lot of other U.S. shortwave stations. The difference is that WBCQ's clientele isn't 99% religious. All the other surviving private stations were founded for religious purposes and that's what they mainly do. WBCQ was founded by the biggest pirate on the east coast -- in fact, exactly how he got a license has never been explained as far as I know. |
