Default Copper flashing Roof Antenna

- at about 20:0 UTC.. quietly went up on the roof & hooked a portable,
double reduction set ( Sangean 606A ) into the newly installed copper
flashing surrounding our apt house roof.

Picked up BBC from Cambria ( very clear signal ) And radio New Zealand
...
( acceptable ) just tuning around
Many other mid eastern / S.American stations, which I did not log,

Picked up local flamethrowers all over the lower part of the dial but
no matter..

HAs anyone else tried this, using their roof's flashing as an antenna,
and if so, what were the results.. ?

Dan / NYC..
