Robert, you may also want to listen to the U.S. Coast Guard on 8982,
daytime, and 5695, nighttime. Most utilities freq's are USB. Greg Proud to be a top-poster! From: "Robert11" Newsgroups: rec.radio.shortwave Date: Thu, 30 Jun 2005 08:59:03 -0400 Subject: 5717 SAR Newbie Quest. ? Hi, Saw the SAR post re 5717 of a few days ago. New at this. Is this a very common, and often used SAR freq. ? Any others used more often off of eastern seaboard (I'm outside of Boston) ? Is it USB ? Thanks, B. |
