http://english.epochtimes.com/news/5-7-7/30120.html CCTV Signal Interrupted by News of Communist Party Withdrawals Read through the entire 3 page thread for a good synopsis. Including a propaganda by a CCP plant. http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread131954/pg1 By the way, you will often hear Falun Gong mentioned. Falun Gong is a "passive" non-violent religious branch of Taoism. It is not a "cult". If you live in N.Y.C or San Fran. or any city with a large population of Chinese you can meet Falun Gong practitioners yourself and get a breath of fresh air from their kind and gentle nature. Most of them are elderly folks concerned about their health and enjoy the exercises they perform in a group early mornings in the parks. Benign folks in every way. Ever since the CCP banned Falun Gong (They had obtained a very large following, too large for the CCP's comfort.) the CCP has used their massive propaganda abilities on a global scale to continue to refer to it as a "cult" and publish false stories. They went so far as to televise a fake suicide by an alleged Falun Gong practitioner dousing himself with petrol and setting himself on fire in Tianenmen Square. It was found to be a complete fake. Be very careful, the CCP is a master of propaganda and plants news stories and pro-CCP stories in the most unexpected places. They have a fairly large department which does nothing but monitor blogs, groups, etc. and post pro-CCP comments on the internet. ____________________________ The revelation that China's army of censors and monitors of the media and the internet have been instructed to intervene in internet discussions under false names and lead the discussion toward the sort of conclusions of which the party would approve is an index of the desperation of the authorities. Mere excision or suppression, of which there has been and still is plenty, is apparently no longer enough. Now the debates arising among the nearly l00 million net users in China are to be infiltrated by cultural double agents. .... http://www.guardian.co.uk/online/web...508316,00.html China's secret internet police target critics with web of propaganda "In the information age and the internet age, the most important and critical mission in front of us is how to seize the initiative on internet opinion and how to seize the high point of internet opinion," the paper quoted the deputy director of the local propaganda department, Zhang Fenglin, as saying. Applicants for the job - mostly drawn from the propaganda and police departments - were told they had to understand government policies, know political theory, be politically reliable and understand internet technology. Successful candidates have been offered classes in Marxist theory, propaganda techniques and updates on the development of the internet around the world. A summary of objectives declared that commentators should "be proactive in developing discussion, increase control, accentuate the good, avoid the bad, and use internet debate to our advantage." .... http://www.guardian.co.uk/china/stor...506016,00.html China's secret internet police target critics with web of propaganda China's communist authorities have intensified their campaign against the party's biggest potential enemy - the internet - with the recruitment of a growing army of secret web commentators, sophisticated new monitoring software and a warning that all bloggers and bulletin board operators must register with the government or be closed down and fined. ... http://www.guardian.co.uk/online/new...505988,00.html |
