He's a conservative, Republican, Bush supporter who was so hot with criticism he was lit at both ends. Seriously, a common theme I'm hearing on conservative radio talk shows, as well as the opinion mongers n the "liberal" mainstream media is that FEMA, Homeland Security, and everyone up the food chain to POTUS his-very-self, are ill-prepared and slow to react. This bodes ill for any more catastrophes, natural or terrorist-made, in the future. I've got a couple of questions? 1. How exaggerated was the TV coverage of the sniping? How many incidents, and what areas were actually effected? 2. Did the media coveage cause the FEMA executives to shut down access to New Orleans on the grounds of safety? If not safety, why? And why where highway style busses needed to evacuate the Superdome? Wouldn't a "Dunkirk with Dumptrucks" have worked several days earlier? (Who go the contract to provide the busses?) 3. Would a lot of this not have happened this way if federal bureaucrats were banned from watching any 24 hour cable news channels? CNN lost all credibilty with me during the coverage of the First Gulf War that the local TV stations were rebroadcasting. Sloppy, overdramatic, inaccurate, and STUPID. And to get FOX news, just add a large factor of blatant lying and partisan propaganda. They're not news, they're a form of "Reality TV" where the news editors and meat puppets out in the field are making up a "story" to add drama to real events. Mark Zenier Googleproofaddress(account:mzenier provider:eskimo domain:com) Yes Mark, Fox news to me is a gov't channel. They do lie, make money by exploiting the dead, make believe they are against a lot of things bush and his administration does, but they do that to gain more audience by not alienating the left completely. This means more hits for them to show companies for commercials which means higher rates and more cash in their greedy little pockets. The hand pick their employees just right. Are they "on our side"? Do they have believable and trusting faces? Can they lie good? Are they true republican supporters? It's funny how O Reilly exploits whatever and whomever he can. But did he talk about the new eminent domain laws? NO Did he talk about Jeff Gannon, the homosexual G.I. hooker and prostitute who had security clearance to enter and roam the White House at his own will? NO he never covered the topic. Never. IF this was done by Democratics, you KNOW how he would have talked about it for weeks in a row. Look how they covered Clinton and his little affair? Can you just imagine what these holy right wingers would have done with this story were it Dems who did it?? The media in this country is tightly controlled. They are owned and run by highly motivated political power players like Rupert Murdoch. News Corp and Fox news for example. Take our radio stations. The majority are run by a couple companies and people with political connections. You can't get the real truth anymore. At least on SW you can get some real views by outside governments who are NOT SCARED of bush and his power connections. Good for them. But, as David stated here once, they are trying to do away with that source of info too. Lucky |

By the way, after that eBay debacle and the current bunch of crap you're spewing here, wouldn't you think it appropriate to change your name from "Lucky" to "Stupid"? Now run along and see if mommy will let you pretend you're playing with your radio. dxAce Michigan USA |
