Have they already reestablished phone service in the New Orleans area? One location reported their OC4 connection had been re-established. There are quite a few message boards with folks *from within N.O.*, apprently posting updates. If they have connectivity to the commidty internet, then they *should* have voice connectivity. At least, I would hope so... Don't forget wireless solutions, like DirectWay. If you run on a generator, satellite service is still operational, since it's not reliant on cell towers, wifi locations, cable or phone access. --Mike L. |
