Ask any personnel office and they'll tell you that the Resume is often reffered to in the industry as the "Liar Sheet". I once heard a presentation by an HR educator. Someeone in the session asked why you had to fill out all that stuff on the app. The answer, as you say, was that you have to sign it. So years later, when you **** someone off, they pull it and go over it with a fine-toothed comb. They'll find cause for dismissal in nearly all of them. I once saw it happen to a guy who'd been on the job eight years. In any case, an HR manager who can't find a reason to disqualify any randomly chosen applicant just doesn't under stand his/her job. |
