How could a communist country allow the public to have access to a
shortwave radio. Although Hong Kong was under the Brits. As for the way the radio looks. It seem to have that portable 70's look. The radio can be sneaked around without much notice. If you had actually tuned a radio across the short wave bands, you would have encountered several mainland Chinese statons broadcasting in Mandarin and local Chinese dialects. Those stations are obviously for domestic Chinese audiences. If you had ever opened up a copy of the World Radio TV Handbook, you would have found a list of some of those stations. |
