John Ford of the Strawbs on WOR's Joey Reynolds Show & NYC Show
w/Strawbs at Satalla John Ford www.johnfordmusic.net of British band The Strawbs http://www.strawbpage.ndirect.co.uk/ will do a LIVE Radio Interview on the Joey Reynolds Show on WOR 710 AM late Monday night Oct. 17, 2005 at 2 am EST (actually early Tuesday morning). Show starts airing at 1 AM til 5AM. John Ford Bio below. John will have guitar, doing some live songs on the air, Joey Reynolds will be spinning tracks from John Ford's current releases and plenty ofchit-chat... He's Mr. Nice Guy of Night Radio from coast-to-coast over the WOR Radio Network, and especially in New York City where his syndicated show satellites across the airwaves, originating over WOR 710 AM, is the absolute king of the night. Rex, Blue Oyster Cult, ZZ Top, RUSH, REO Speedwagon, King Crimson, Lynyrd Skynrd, Billy Preston, Cat Stevens and more. In 1971, John Ford joined The Strawbs, primarily known as a Folk Rock group, into a new direction in the Prog-Art Rock. Scene. John penned perennial favorites, "Heavy Disguise" and "Part of the Union," The Strawbs biggest Chart Hit, included on the Album, released as a Single and spent 59 weeks on the album charts, rising to Top of the Pops fame, working with Bowie/T-Rex Producer, Tony Visconti. John Ford received five Gold Records and Platinum, to boot. A few years later, John Ford and Richard Hudson, formed Hudson-Ford, with Top 10 Pop Chart Hit, 'Pick Up The Pieces,' along with "Burn Baby Burn" and "Floating In The Wind." John has also released solo albums of his own work: "Love Is A Highway" in 1998, "Heading For A High" in 2000, "Natural High" in 2002, and "Backtracking" in 2005 are all John Ford originals, with him performing virtually all the vocals and instrumentation, as well as producing the albums.
