My last job worked that much or more. My friend who owns a restaurant works 115 hours a week. He will close for Christmas eve and Christmas day. That will be a nice break for him so he can see his kids. Merry Christmas everyone! God Bless America! "SeeingEyeDog" wrote in message ... Wal-Mart operates over 1,000 "secret" factories in China. One of these, a factory in Lungcheong, requires its workers to work 13 hour days, six to seven days a week, for as little as 18-33 cents an hour - well below the already abysmal Chinese minimum wage. ... the Communist Chinese government is complicit in the human rights violations that occur on a regular basis at these factories, as they allow Wal-Mart to circumvent Chinese law. http://english.epochtimes.com/news/5-12-19/35912.html If only any of this were true...the workers in the WalMart factories make much more than most Chinese. Could you make it on a WalMart salary? |

Word!!
I'm totally with you on this man. Everyone forced to work at Walmart, no wait, ANYWHERE, no matter their position/function should demand and be provided whatever salary or hourly rate of pay that they alone have pre-determined will allow them to "make it". Really, its so simple! This idea of mine could work my brothers and sisters. Lets get legs under this thing doods. Its us against "The MAN" man. Right on! Wait, I just thought it through Justin. Our next Eminem CD would likely end up being about $275.50 Never mind. On Thu, 22 Dec 2005 04:28:28 GMT, justindavid wrote: Could you make it on a WalMart salary? |

More than 30 million Americans make $9.00 or less per hour. That's just about poverty level. I'm not sure how many people there are in the work force but 30 million is a far portion of the total. |

Say one wage earner at$9/h and a 40 hour week X 52 = 18720. The poverty level in 2004 for an individual was $9,310. dxAce Michigan USA |
