It's too bad that their DRM transmissions wreak such havoc with the hams trying to operate in the 80 meter ham band! DRM = QRM dxAce Michigan USA |

ate in the 80 meter ham band!
Your idiotic third grade "sloganeering" isn't going to make DRM go away. Responding to every DRM post with "DRM = QRM" just makes you appear annoying and foolish, it doesn't add anything to the discussion. Grow up. Shortwave DX'ers have always had to struggle agains QRN from the USSR's "woodpecker", the RTTY news services etc. DRM is no better and no worse than any of these noises. The technology is very interesting and it does provide superb fidelity over shortwave in a very technologically cool way. Whether it will ever become viable is open to question due to the unpredictablility of shortwave propagation and the enormous real estate needed for shortwave transmitters. The 80m ham band ends at 3850kHz in most of the world. But not here and their signal propagates VERY well here. I'd almost say that they are in violation of the rules in that regard. At any rate, a stupid method of transmission that renders 10 kHz unusable is not a very good idea! dxAce Michigan USA |
